Project Manager - Drinking Water & Wastewater Conveyance
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex water infrastructure projects, with a focus on drinking water systems, conveyance networks, and wastewater collection and storage.
This role blends technical expertise with project leadership, giving you the opportunity to guide multidisciplinary teams, manage client relationships, and deliver high-impact projects from planning through construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead engineering projects from concept through completion, including planning, design, procurement, and construction support
- Develop and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and overall performance
- Coordinate internal teams, subconsultants, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining clear communication and strong working relationships
- Oversee the preparation and review of engineering deliverables to ensure quality and accuracy
- Support procurement efforts, including bid phase services and contractor selection
- Manage contract administration activities, including negotiations and change orders
- Monitor project financials, including forecasting, cost tracking, and reporting
- Identify and mitigate project risks to maintain performance targets
- Contribute to business development efforts, including proposals, presentations, and client engagement
- Participate in industry events and networking to support market growth
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff, supporting team development
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality processes
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- 7+ years of relevant experience (10+ years preferred), including project management responsibilities
- Experience delivering projects related to drinking water, conveyance systems, or wastewater infrastructure
- Strong understanding of project management principles, including budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage competing priorities
- Experience supporting client relationships and business development initiatives
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with project management tools
Nice to Have
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or similar professional registration
- Previous consulting experience
- Experience working on large or complex infrastructure programs
- Familiarity with project controls, document management systems, or risk management processes
Compensation
$160,000 - $225,000 annually
Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and overall alignment with the role. This range represents a good-faith estimate and may be adjusted based on business needs.
