We are working with a leading employee-owned engineering consultancy seeking a Project Manager to support the delivery of complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects across California. This is an opportunity to join a technically driven team with a strong backlog of municipal work and a reputation for delivering high-impact water solutions.
The role will focus on managing projects from planning and design through construction, while serving as a key point of contact for clients and internal teams. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both technical involvement and client-facing responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage water and wastewater projects including treatment facilities, pipelines, pump stations, and storage systems
* Lead multidisciplinary project teams and coordinate with internal design staff and external stakeholders
* Maintain responsibility for project scope, schedule, budget, and overall delivery
* Serve as the primary client contact and support ongoing relationship development
* Oversee preparation of technical reports, design documents, and specifications
* Support business development efforts including proposals and client engagement
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
* Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in California or ability to obtain
* 6+ years of experience in water or wastewater engineering
* Strong experience managing municipal infrastructure projects
* Exposure to treatment, conveyance, or distribution systems
* Proven ability to work directly with clients and lead project teams
