A growing engineering consulting firm is seeking a Project Manager to join its Orange County team. This role offers the opportunity to lead the delivery of complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects while operating in a collaborative, fast-moving environment with direct access to senior leadership.
The Opportunity
This position is ideal for an experienced engineer who wants to take full ownership of projects while working in a leaner, more agile organization than a traditional large consultancy.
You will be responsible for managing projects from concept through delivery, with the autonomy to make decisions, influence outcomes, and build strong client relationships. The firm's size and structure allow for greater visibility, faster progression, and broader involvement across projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including treatment, conveyance, and utility systems
- Oversee all aspects of project delivery, including scope, schedule, budget, and quality
- Coordinate internal teams, subconsultants, and external stakeholders
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and regulatory agencies
- Review and guide technical work, including design documents, reports, and specifications
- Mentor and support the development of junior and mid-level staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Approximately 10-15 years of experience in water/wastewater engineering
- Strong background in project management within a consulting environment
- Experience delivering municipal and/or industrial water projects
- Proven client-facing experience and ability to build relationships

Compensation
$150,000 - $185,000 base salary, depending on experience, plus performance-based bonus and comprehensive benefits.
