Projects Contract Manager
📍 Singapore or Shanghai, China
We are supporting a well‑established project developer and EPC operator with major upcoming projects in Asia. As part of their expansion, they are looking to appoint an experienced Projects Contract Manager to take full ownership of contracting and commercial matters across large‑scale projects.
The Role
This is a hands‑on, project‑focused position with end‑to‑end responsibility across the full contract lifecycle. You will manage your own portfolio of projects and lead key commercial decisions from tender through to execution and close‑out.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing EPC and major subcontract agreements from tender stage through project completion
- Leading contract strategy, negotiation and administration for large‑value capital projects
- Supporting tender reviews, bid clarifications and contract negotiations
- Managing variations, claims, risk exposure and final account settlements
- Ensuring contracts are executed in line with agreed commercial terms and risk profile
- Working closely with project, engineering and site teams to support delivery and resolve contractual issues
- Managing and mentoring junior contract specialists within the project team
- Engaging with contractors and suppliers to maintain commercial discipline and project alignment
Your Background
- Strong experience in EPC project environments, ideally across oil & gas, marine, infrastructure or construction sectors
- Proven track record managing large‑scale contracts (USD 50-200m+) across multiple project phases
- Deep understanding of commercial terms including liability, risk allocation, claims and variations
- Experience managing contractors and external stakeholders on active project sites
- Prior responsibility for leading or supervising contract specialists
- Commercially minded, pragmatic, and able to operate in fast‑moving project environments
- Comfortable working across Asia with regular travel to project locations
- Strong communication skills in English; Mandarin highly advantageous
