QA/QC Manager
An Owner's Representative is seeking a QA/QC Manager to oversee quality assurance and control across a portfolio of mission-critical data center projects. This role will act as the Owner's eyes and ears in the field, ensuring all work meets design intent, contract requirements, and industry standards. The position is high travel across active job sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead QA/QC programmes across multiple data center builds from preconstruction through commissioning
- Represent the Owner in all quality-related matters with GCs, subcontractors, and design teams
- Review and enforce project-specific QA/QC plans, ITPs, and inspection procedures
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and quality reviews across MEP and structural scopes
- Track non-conformance issues and drive closeout with contractors
- Oversee documentation including submittals, RFIs, inspections, and turnover packages
- Ensure compliance with contract documents, codes, and mission-critical standards
- Support commissioning teams to ensure systems meet performance and reliability targets
- Provide regular reporting to ownership stakeholders on quality metrics, risks, and trends
Required Experience
- 8+ years' experience in construction QA/QC, with a strong focus on data center or mission-critical projects
- Background working for a general contractor, owner's rep, or developer on large-scale builds
- Deep understanding of MEP systems within data centers (power, cooling, controls)
- Experience managing QA/QC processes across multiple sites or regions
- Proven track record of enforcing quality standards on complex, fast-paced projects
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC frameworks, inspection processes, and documentation workflows
- Familiarity with commissioning processes and turnover requirements
- Ability to review drawings, specifications, and submittals in detail
- Experience with QA/QC and project management software tools
Soft Skills
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to push back on contractors where needed
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to identifying risks
- Clear communicator with ownership-level reporting experience
- Able to operate independently across travelling project sites
Location & Travel
- Fully travelling role across active data center projects in the US
- Willingness to be on-site the majority of the time
