Senior Civil Estimator
The Senior Estimator role involves developing accurate and timely proposals and estimates for projects to ensure the organization remains a competitive bidder. This position collaborates with a team of estimators to create multidisciplinary estimates and works independently on projects of smaller scope and complexity.

Responsibilities
- Review project plans, requirements, and specifications to develop a comprehensive understanding of the project and define scope of work, labor, and equipment costs.
- Prepare quantity takeoffs and pricing through self-perform production-based estimates or unit price estimating.
- Analyze bid documents and material requirements to assess constructability and material needs.
- Initiate subcontractor solicitations and engage in quality discussions to gain detailed knowledge of assigned work.
- Prepare bid packages, including comparison and analysis of competitive subcontractor and supplier bids.
- Evaluate subcontractor bonding capabilities, workload, and prior performance.
- Develop estimates for multiple delivery systems and review quotes with the project management team.
- Assist with certain post-bid buyouts.
- Participate in presentations with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Understand contract requirements for diversity compliance.
Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred
- 8+ years of experience
- Extensive knowledge of construction means and methods, costs, and engineering principles
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong understanding of costs and market conditions
- Accountability for commitments and continuous improvement
- Ability to interpret subcontractor quotations and project documentation accurately
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced proficiency with estimating software
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Willingness to travel for projects in different regions
