About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team in the Substation and Transmission & Distribution (T&D) sector. This position plays a key role in developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for high-voltage electrical infrastructure projects across the Dallas-Fort Worth region.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for substation and T&D projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Review project specifications, drawings, and technical documents to determine scope and requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to ensure alignment on cost and schedule.
- Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options during the estimating process.
- Maintain and update cost databases and historical pricing information.
- Support bid preparation and client presentations as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in estimating within the electrical power industry, specifically substations and T&D.
- Strong understanding of industry standards, construction methods, and materials.
- Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred
- Experience with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects.
- Knowledge of Texas utility standards and regulations.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
