Location: Los Angeles or Orange County, California
Salary Range: $120,000 - $165,000 per year
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Hydrogeologist to join our internationally recognized environmental consulting team. This role focuses on groundwater investigations, aquifer and basin testing, and advanced hydrogeologic analysis. The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of experience in groundwater projects and a strong technical background in modeling and field investigations.
Key Responsibilities
- Groundwater Investigations: Lead and manage projects involving aquifer and basin testing, pumping tests, and hydrogeologic characterization.
- Modeling Expertise: Develop and apply groundwater models using tools such as MODFLOW, FEFLOW, and other industry-standard software.
- Data Analysis: Interpret hydrogeologic and geochemical data to support water resource and contaminant remediation projects.
- Project Management: Oversee project scope, schedule, and budget while ensuring technical excellence and regulatory compliance.
- Client Engagement: Collaborate with clients to deliver innovative solutions and maintain strong relationships.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior staff and contribute to technical development within the hydrogeology practice.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, or related field (Master's or Ph.D. preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in groundwater investigations and hydrogeologic consulting.
- Proficiency in groundwater modeling software (MODFLOW, FEFLOW, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and client management abilities.
- Consulting experience preferred; public sector experience considered.
