Senior Ignition / SCADA Developer - Houston, TX (Hybrid)
We're looking for an experienced Ignition/SCADA Developer to join our team and support full‑lifecycle automation and SCADA projects. If you enjoy hands‑on engineering, modern SCADA design, and working directly with customers to build high‑impact solutions, this role is for you.
This position offers a hybrid work model, splitting time between home, office, and occasional local client visits in the Houston area.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy Inductive Automation Ignition SCADA applications
- Configure, troubleshoot, and support PLC/SCADA systems for industrial clients
- Collaborate with customers to gather requirements and deliver effective technical solutions
- Integrate SCADA with PLCs, databases, and enterprise systems
- Create documentation, testing plans, and project deliverables
- Provide onsite commissioning and startup support (minimal travel)
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years developing industrial SCADA/HMI systems
- Hands‑on experience with Ignition (Perspective and/or Vision preferred)
- Strong understanding of industrial protocols: Modbus, Ethernet/IP, OPC-UA, etc.
- Experience integrating with major PLC brands
Highly Desirable
- Oil & Gas industry experience (Midstream, Upstream, Pipelines, Terminals, Production Facilities)
- Experience in Water/Wastewater (W/WW) automation
- Familiarity with IIoT platforms, SQL databases, reporting tools, or MES features
