With a rapidly growing data center portfolio and continued investment across key hyperscale markets, our client is seeking an experienced Senior MEP Manager to support the delivery of large-scale data center projects across the United States.

Position Overview
The Senior MEP Manager will provide leadership and oversight for all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls, startup, and commissioning activities from preconstruction through project turnover. Working closely with project executives, construction teams, trade partners, consultants, and ownership groups, this individual will be responsible for driving successful project outcomes while ensuring adherence to cost, quality, schedule, and safety objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background delivering mission critical projects and possess a deep understanding of MEP systems, construction execution, commissioning, and operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all MEP project activities from preconstruction through commissioning and final turnover.
- Serve as the primary MEP subject matter expert for project leadership teams and clients.
- Manage and coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls, and specialty trade contractors.
- Review construction documents and provide technical guidance during design development and construction phases.
- Support procurement strategies for major MEP equipment and critical long-lead materials.
- Oversee equipment tracking, delivery schedules, and installation sequencing.
- Develop, monitor, and drive MEP schedules to ensure alignment with overall project milestones.
- Lead commissioning planning, startup activities, integrated systems testing, and final client handover.
- Coordinate third-party commissioning consultants and ensure completion of all required documentation and training.
- Review and manage MEP-related budgets, forecasts, change orders, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate MEP coordination meetings and collaboration between field, design, and ownership teams.
- Support BIM and VDC initiatives to improve constructability, coordination, and project execution.
- Establish and maintain quality control standards across all MEP systems installations.
- Develop and review methods of procedure (MOPs) for critical facility and commissioning activities.
- Promote and enforce a safety-first culture across all project sites.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- 8+ years of experience within commercial construction, preferably with a general contractor.
- Demonstrated experience delivering mission critical, data center, healthcare, pharmaceutical, advanced manufacturing, or other highly technical projects.
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls, and commissioning processes.
- Experience managing large MEP construction scopes from preconstruction through client turnover.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, procurement, contract administration, and project controls.
- Familiarity with commissioning best practices and integrated systems testing.
- Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, or equivalent platforms.
- Experience utilizing BIM and VDC tools during project delivery.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively or relocate to project locations across the United States as required.
