Senior Project Developer - Onshore Wind (m/f/d)

About the Role:
A dynamic and well-established renewable energy company is looking to strengthen its onshore wind development team. This role offers the opportunity to take full responsibility for projects from early-stage development through to securing permits, contributing directly to the growth of a strong and sustainable project pipeline.
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of onshore wind projects from initial concept through to approval
- Steer projects independently, ensuring progress across all key milestones and phases
- Evaluate site feasibility and continuously refine development strategies
- Act as a primary interface for key stakeholders, including landowners, municipalities, authorities, and partners
- Drive and manage approval procedures in line with relevant German regulations
- Develop and monitor detailed project schedules and approval timelines
- Refine site layouts to ensure optimal project performance and compliance
- Oversee and coordinate external consultants across environmental, technical, and regulatory disciplines
- Support planning processes at regional and municipal level
- Conduct commercial assessments to ensure project viability
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support project handover into execution
Your Profile:
- 5+ years experience in onshore wind project development, with a focus on permitting and approvals
- Strong understanding of the German regulatory and planning environment (e.g. BauGB, BImSchG, EEG, ROG, TA Lärm, BNatSchG, etc.)
- Confident stakeholder manager with strong negotiation capabilities
- Clear communicator with a collaborative mindset
- Highly self-driven, with a structured and solution-oriented approach
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to evaluate project risks and opportunities
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and working with a high level of autonomy
- Willingness to engage in occasional travel and project-related meetings outside standard hours
