Senior Project Finance & Infrastructure Investment Specialist
Overview
An international consulting and engineering organization is seeking an experienced professional to support the development and execution of global infrastructure projects. This role will focus on project financing, investment structuring, and supporting project selection across multiple regions.
The organization is expanding its international footprint and evolving beyond traditional consulting into investment and operator-side participation in infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support project financing strategies across infrastructure developments (e.g. transport, energy, social infrastructure)
- Structure and execute SPC, PPP, and project finance transactions
- Engage with commercial banks, development finance institutions, and international funding bodies
- Develop financial models and investment proposals for new and ongoing projects
- Support project selection and evaluation, balancing financial viability and strategic priorities
- Work closely with technical teams overseeing:
- Feasibility studies
- Design phases
- Construction supervision
- Contribute to global business expansion initiatives, including identifying new investment opportunities
- Collaborate across multiple projects simultaneously rather than focusing on a single assignment
- Build and maintain relationships with international financial and institutional partners
Project Exposure
Projects span multiple sectors including:
- Transport infrastructure (e.g. rail, metro, roads, bridges, airports)
- Social infrastructure
- Renewable energy and energy efficiency (e.g. wind, solar, emerging technologies such as ammonia)
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in:
- Project finance
- Infrastructure investment
- Financial advisory or development finance
- Proven experience in:
- Fundraising and capital structuring
- Working with international lenders and development institutions
- Strong understanding of:
- PPP frameworks
- Infrastructure financing models
- Experience working on cross-border projects is preferred
- Ability to operate in a multicultural, international environment
- Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus)
- Willingness to travel frequently and work across global regions
