Senior Structural Engineer (Atlanta GA - Remote)
We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer (S.E.) to join a leading team in the telecommunications infrastructure sector. This is a critical, high-impact role with immediate start opportunities for the right candidate.
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the stability and safety of communication structures. Your expertise will be essential in assessing existing towers - guyed, self-supporting, and monopoles - to determine load capacity and recommend structural enhancements. You'll also review service requests, guide field inspections, and mentor junior engineers to maintain top-tier quality standards.
This is a remote position, so strong time management and communication skills are key to success.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate service requests for completeness and accuracy.
- Analyze and design solutions for towers, rooftops, elevated platforms, and water tanks.
- Perform structural analyses using manual calculations and advanced software.
- Collaborate with CAD and administrative teams to finalize documentation.
- Design modifications and reinforcements for telecom infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Provide mentorship and quality reviews for junior engineers.
- Prepare detailed engineering calculation reports.
- Stay current with industry codes and emerging technologies.
- Conduct quality control reviews and address stakeholder inquiries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required; ability to obtain multi-state licensure via reciprocity.
- Structural Engineer (SE) license required.
- Strong knowledge of TIA/EIA-222 and relevant design codes (ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, NDS).
- Familiarity with TARP policies preferred.
- Minimum 2 years' experience with AutoCAD preferred.
- Proficiency in RISA 3D and tnxTower required; familiarity with EnerCalc, Profis, ADAPT, BlueBeam/Adobe, and Microsoft products preferred.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary: $110,000-$150,000 per year (based on experience and qualifications).
