About the Role
As a Transportation Engineer, you will contribute to state and federal transportation projects, working on initiatives that improve safety, mobility, and infrastructure efficiency. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement solutions that meet regulatory standards and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver transportation engineering services for highway, traffic, and multimodal projects.
- Perform data analysis, prepare technical reports, and develop design plans.
- Design roadways, conduct corridor safety studies, and create traffic signal plans.
- Develop maintenance and protection of traffic plans for work zones.
- Conduct traffic impact and operational analyses to optimize flow and reduce congestion.
- Work on highway, interchange, and intersection improvements, as well as rail design projects.
- Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local design standards throughout all project phases.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in highway or traffic engineering.
- Strong knowledge of MUTCD and AASHTO standards.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with industry-standard software tools:
- MicroStation
- AutoCAD
- Highway Capacity Software
- SYNCHRO/SIMTRAFFIC
- CORSIM
