Led by seasoned executives from top-tier infrastructure, technology, and investment firms, this company is building a next-generation platform for hyperscale and edge deployments. With significant capital backing and a disruptive vision, they are now assembling a foundational team to drive rapid growth.

The Role
As Site Acquisition Lead, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and securing strategic land and facility opportunities for data center development across key U.S. markets. You'll play a critical role in shaping the company's footprint and growth trajectory from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead site selection efforts across multiple geographies, balancing speed, cost, and technical feasibility.
  • Build and manage relationships with landowners, brokers, municipalities, and utility providers.
  • Conduct due diligence on zoning, permitting, environmental, and infrastructure readiness.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (development, engineering, legal) to assess site viability.
  • Negotiate LOIs, purchase agreements, and lease terms.
  • Track market trends and emerging opportunities in power availability, fiber connectivity, and regulatory incentives.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in site acquisition, real estate development, or land strategy - ideally within data centers, energy, or industrial infrastructure.
  • Deep understanding of permitting, entitlements, and utility coordination.
  • Strong network across brokers, landowners, and local jurisdictions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
