The Role
As Site Acquisition Lead, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and securing strategic land and facility opportunities for data center development across key U.S. markets. You'll play a critical role in shaping the company's footprint and growth trajectory from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead site selection efforts across multiple geographies, balancing speed, cost, and technical feasibility.
- Build and manage relationships with landowners, brokers, municipalities, and utility providers.
- Conduct due diligence on zoning, permitting, environmental, and infrastructure readiness.
- Collaborate with internal teams (development, engineering, legal) to assess site viability.
- Negotiate LOIs, purchase agreements, and lease terms.
- Track market trends and emerging opportunities in power availability, fiber connectivity, and regulatory incentives.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in site acquisition, real estate development, or land strategy - ideally within data centers, energy, or industrial infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of permitting, entitlements, and utility coordination.
- Strong network across brokers, landowners, and local jurisdictions.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
