Solar Electrical Engineer
A growing engineering and land surveying practice is seeking a self-motivated, results-oriented Electrical Engineer to support internal renewable energy construction projects. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative infrastructure initiatives across Wisconsin and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical calculations for equipment, cables, conduits, and medium/low voltage systems
- Develop energy models for ground-mounted solar arrays and battery energy storage systems
- Support electrical/control systems design for hydrogen fuel cell stations, biogas power generation, and internal combustion engine plants
- Draft construction plans including PV solar layouts, single-line diagrams, and equipment elevations
- Produce complete project design drawings to high drafting standards
- Collaborate with internal and external design professionals across multidisciplinary teams
Preferred Qualifications
- NABCEP PV Design Specialist Certification
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience with renewable energy systems and electrical design software
