Survey Project Manager

Our client, a long-standing and widely respected leader in geospatial and land surveying services, is seeking a Survey Project Manager to guide complex survey projects and serve as a primary liaison with key clients. With decades of proven performance and a reputation for technical precision, this team delivers high-quality spatial data and intelligent geospatial solutions that support smarter decision-making across major infrastructure programs.


The Survey Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing land survey projects from kickoff through final delivery, ensuring all work aligns with quality expectations and client requirements
  • Creating and managing proposals, scopes of work, budgets, schedules, and billing processes
  • Directing both field and office teams, establishing work plans, and coordinating staffing for multiple active projects
  • Signing and sealing plats, field notes, and control drawings when necessary
  • Monitoring project progress, tracking deliverables, and maintaining consistent communication with internal teams and client stakeholders
  • Participating in business development efforts and strengthening long-term client relationships
  • Preparing and delivering presentations for clients and other decision-makers
  • Coordinating with subconsultants and supporting cross-functional departments as needed
  • Managing financial performance including AR/WIP, invoices, and overall project reporting
  • Representing the organization at industry meetings, conferences, and networking events
  • Supporting broader organizational goals through leadership and collaboration

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in land surveying, project management, or a related leadership role
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience
  • Proven success managing project phases, workflows, and teams
  • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office tools
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly delegate and guide team members
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor staff, resolve issues quickly, and maintain project momentum
  • Capacity to meet tight deadlines while fostering teamwork and maintaining accuracy
  • Active Professional Surveyor License in South Carolina required
