About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Controls Technician to join our team in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems, with a strong preference for those familiar with Tridium Niagara platforms. This role involves installing, programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining building automation systems for commercial and industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and commission DDC control systems for HVAC and building automation projects.
- Program and integrate systems, with a focus on Tridium Niagara framework.
- Perform system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to meet project timelines and specifications.
- Conduct functional testing and verification of control systems.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and updates.
- Provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience working with building automation or HVAC control systems.
- Proficiency in DDC systems; experience with Tridium Niagara strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and control drawings.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and building automation principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with BACnet, Modbus, or other communication protocols.
- Familiarity with network integration and IP-based systems.
- Knowledge of energy management strategies and optimization.
