Summary:
A leader in the rapidly evolving energy industry is currently seeking a strong and highly experienced senior engineer to lead their technical studies team. You will play a key role in leading studies for the interconnection of large-scale Distribution Energy Resources (DER) as well as Data Centers to the transmission and distribution grid. You will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of these critical assets.
Key Responsibilities:
The Technical Lead Engineer will be responsible for…
- Lead the search in reviewing grids for potential issues and developing technical and cost-efficient mitigation solutions
- Prepare thorough and clear technical reports and study results to be presented to internal stakeholders and external clients
- Lead large-scale integration studies which include DER, Data Centers, and more
- Provide support and guidance to junior engineers while contributing to the growth of internal study methods, standards, and tools
- Lead comprehensive analysis using tools such as PSS/E, PSCAD, TARA, and Synergi
Key Qualifications:
The Technical Lead Engineer should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, electrical preferred
- 8+ years of experience in power systems or supervision
- Experience using PSSE, TARA, PSCAD
- Experience and developed skills in power systems analysis
- Professional Engineer's License preferred
