This role sits at the intersection of field operations, maintenance strategy, and engineering support, with meaningful exposure to both operational execution and forward‑looking improvements.
The ideal candidate brings practical transmission experience, sound judgment, and the ability to work across internal teams and external service providers.
Responsibilities:
  • Support the ongoing safe and reliable operation of high‑voltage transmission facilities
  • Serve as a technical resource for maintenance activities, field work, and contractor‑performed services
  • Help translate operational needs into clear procedures, work scopes, and service expectations
  • Work alongside engineering and planning teams to support system upgrades, improvements, and new initiatives
  • Contribute to the organization's approach to asset health, emergency readiness, and maintenance planning
  • Assist with vendor coordination, including scoping work, evaluating proposals, and overseeing execution
  • Maintain accurate operational and maintenance records using established systems and tools
  • Provide input into annual planning and budgeting related to transmission operations and maintenance
  • Engage with cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure operational considerations are reflected in projects and decisions

Qualifications:

  • Several years of hands‑on experience in electric transmission operations, maintenance, or field services
  • Practical understanding of how transmission assets are operated, maintained, and supported in a regulated environment
  • Comfort working with contractors, service providers, and field personnel
  • Familiarity with reliability and compliance expectations for transmission owners (NERC knowledge is a plus)
  • Experience using or supporting maintenance or asset tracking systems (CMMS experience preferred)
  • An engineering or technical background is helpful, but applied experience is equally valued
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across disciplines
