Water Resources Technical Lead
We are supporting a national engineering firm that is looking to strengthen its Houston team with the addition of a Water Resources Technical Lead. This is a key role within the group, offering the chance to take a leading position on technical delivery while influencing how projects are approached and executed.
The role is ideal for someone who wants to stay hands on with technical work while also guiding teams and providing oversight across multiple projects. You will be a go to resource for complex modelling and design challenges and will play a big part in mentoring others.
What you will be doing
- Leading technical delivery across drainage, stormwater, and H and H projects
- Acting as a subject matter expert for modelling and design approaches
- Reviewing models, designs, and reports for quality and consistency
- Supporting project managers with technical strategy and problem solving
- Mentoring engineers and helping develop the team
What they are looking for
- 10 to 15 plus years in water resources engineering
- Strong experience with HEC RAS, HEC HMS, InfoWorks, or similar tools
- Solid understanding of Houston and Texas drainage requirements
- PE license required
- Comfortable leading technical discussions internally and with clients
