Assistant Project Manager - Heavy Civil Construction
Location: Boise, ID
Compensation: $80,000 - $120,000 Base Salary + Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits

A well-established heavy civil general contractor is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join its growing Boise team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of complex infrastructure projects including roadways, highways, bridges, underground utilities, site development, and water/wastewater improvements throughout Idaho.

Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers with the planning, execution, and delivery of heavy civil construction projects
- Support budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and change order management
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field operations
- Review project plans, specifications, contracts, and schedules
- Prepare RFIs, submittals, purchase orders, and project documentation
- Track project progress and help identify solutions to project challenges
- Assist with client, owner, engineer, and stakeholder communications
- Support project scheduling and milestone tracking
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental requirements
- Participate in project meetings and maintain accurate project records
Experience Needed
- 2+ years of experience in heavy civil construction
- Experience supporting roadway, highway, bridge, utility, excavation, earthwork, or water/wastewater projects
- Exposure to project management, estimating, field engineering, or construction operations
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and material suppliers
- Familiarity with project budgeting and cost control processes
- Understanding of construction plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Experience working with public works, DOT, municipal, or infrastructure projects is a plus
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
- Experience with construction management software is preferred
- Ability to work effectively with both field and office personnel
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed
