A respected engineering consulting firm is seeking a Construction Engineering Inspector (CEI) to support roadway and infrastructure projects throughout the region. This role offers the opportunity to work directly on transportation and public infrastructure improvements while gaining hands-on experience in construction inspection, surveying, materials testing, and project delivery.
What You'll Do
- Perform roadway and structural construction inspections.
- Support engineers and senior inspection staff with construction oversight activities.
- Conduct material sampling, testing, and documentation.
- Collect, analyze, and process field data.
- Review plans and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Assist with survey activities, measurements, and project estimates.
- Monitor construction traffic control and site safety practices.
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in construction inspection, transportation engineering, roadway construction, or related infrastructure projects.
- Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience reading construction plans, specifications, and maintaining accurate project records.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and construction documentation processes.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with project teams.
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required construction materials testing certifications.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work occasional nights, weekends, holidays, or extended hours as project needs require.

- Ability to perform field activities associated with construction inspection and surveying.
