We are seeking a Commissioning Engineer to support a growing portfolio of projects across commercial, healthcare, municipal, and large-scale venue environments. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects across multiple major markets while developing technical expertise and leadership capability within a collaborative, high-growth team.

The Commissioning Agent will be responsible for:

  • Leading and executing commissioning activities on small to medium-sized projects across multiple sectors including commercial, healthcare, municipal, and large-scale venues
  • Coordinating with general contractors, project teams, and stakeholders to plan and run commissioning meetings
  • Performing functional testing of building systems to ensure performance aligns with design intent
  • Supporting commissioning efforts throughout all project phases, from design review through execution and closeout
  • Traveling to project sites across the United States, including major markets such as Denver, New York, Los Angeles, and Texas
  • Managing multiple active projects while maintaining quality and schedule expectations
  • Collaborating with internal engineering teams to supplement project execution as needed

The Commissioning Agent should have the following:

  • 2 to 6 years of relevant experience in engineering or commissioning
  • At least 1 to 2 years of hands-on commissioning experience, or equivalent experience combined with related engineering work
  • Experience performing functional testing, with a strong understanding of building systems
  • Ability to lead project coordination efforts and communicate effectively with contractors and stakeholders
  • Exposure to complex building types such as healthcare facilities, municipal buildings, or large commercial properties is preferred
  • Experience with data center projects is acceptable if responsibilities included active testing and system validation, not just observation
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage frequent travel requirements

Location and Travel:

  • Flexible location with preference for Denver, New York City, or Los Angeles
  • Travel required approximately 50% to 60%
  • Travel typically occurs Monday through Friday and does not require extended multi-week assignments
  • Hybrid work environment with flexible in-office expectations and work-from-home options, including half-day Fridays
