Design Engineer

A engineering consulting firm is seeking a design engineer to support planning, design, and optimization projects.

📍Hybrid Schedule | Inland Empire, Orange County, San Diego

💰 $100,000 - $130,000 Base Salary

Responsibilities

✅ Support planning and design projects

✅ Assist with development of project scopes, budgets, and schedules

✅ Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams involved in planning, design, and optimization of water infrastructure

✅ Serve in a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or Project Manager capacity based on experience level

✅ Participate in projects requiring coordination with clients, technical staff, and project stakeholders

✅ Support delivery of engineering documents, technical memoranda, reports, drawings, specifications, presentations, and other project-related materials

Experience & Qualifications

✔ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related engineering discipline

✔ 3-5 years of experience in the planning, design, and/or construction of water, wastewater, and/or recycled water facilities

✔ EIT certification

✔ CA PE license or ability to obtain within one year is a plus

✔ Strong written and verbal communication skills

✔ Experience preparing technical reports, proposals, presentations, drawings, and project documentation

✔ Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

✔ Civil 3D and/or BIM/Revit experience is a plus

✔ Interest in professional growth, mentorship, and participation in the water industry
