Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for statewide survey operations.
- Lead and mentor survey teams, including local leaders, surveyors, technicians, and support staff.
- Develop and implement survey strategies, methodologies, and best practices.
- Oversee field and office survey operations, ensuring data accuracy and quality control.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to define survey requirements and deliverables.
- Utilize modern survey equipment and technology, including GPS, GIS, and drone technology.
- Prepare and review survey reports, maps, and documentation.
- Manage budgets, resources, and project timelines for survey operations.
- Drive innovation by integrating emerging technologies and industry advancements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Surveyor License (PLS) required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in land surveying, including leadership roles.
- Proficiency in survey software and equipment, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, GPS, and GIS applications.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local survey regulations and standards.
- Experience with drone surveying and LiDAR technology.
