Manager - Business Valuation & Litigation

I am currently looking for a Manager to join a highly respected professional services firm in Tennessee, with a strong and growing practice in commercial litigation support and business valuation. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional who is ready to take the next step in their career, leading complex engagements and contributing to a collaborative, client-focused team.

About the Role:

You'll be responsible for managing a variety of litigation and valuation projects, including economic damages, lost profits, forensic accounting, and valuations for shareholder disputes, M&A, estate and gift tax planning, and other strategic business needs.

You'll work closely with attorneys, business owners, and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality financial analysis and expert insights. The position also includes mentoring junior staff, contributing to business development, and helping shape the direction of the practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage litigation support engagements, including damage quantification and forensic investigations.
  • Conduct business valuations for transactional, tax, and litigation purposes.
  • Prepare and review valuation reports, financial models, and expert witness materials.
  • Collaborate with legal teams and clients to understand case strategy and deliver tailored financial insights.
  • Supervise and mentor junior professionals, supporting their technical and professional development.
  • Participate in business development activities, including networking and thought leadership.

What We're Looking For:

  • 7+ years of experience in commercial litigation support and business valuation.
  • Strong technical skills in valuation methodologies, financial modeling, and forensic accounting.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead project teams.
  • CPA designation preferred; ASA, ABV, CFE, or similar credentials are also highly valued.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in presenting complex financial concepts to legal and non-financial audiences.
  • Experience with expert witness support or testimony is a plus.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.
