MEP Professional Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical)

A growing multidisciplinary engineering consulting organization is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) to join its Raleigh-based team. This opportunity is open to both Mechanical Engineers and Electrical Engineers interested in working on a variety of building systems projects throughout the Southeast.

Our client is a well-established consulting engineering firm providing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and technology design services for a diverse range of commercial, institutional, healthcare, education, and public-sector projects. Known for its collaborative culture and commitment to technical excellence, the firm empowers engineers to take ownership of projects while working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team.

The organization offers a collaborative environment, exposure to diverse project types, and the opportunity to play an active role in project delivery, client interaction, and technical leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee mechanical or electrical building systems projects.
  • Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, including architects, contractors, and owners.
  • Review project documents for quality and technical accuracy.
  • Participate in client meetings and project discussions.
  • Provide mentorship and technical support to engineering staff.
  • Assist with project execution from planning through construction.

Requirements

  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Strong technical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Consulting engineering experience.
  • Building systems design experience.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary projects.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard design software.
