Product Manager
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the strategy, development, and lifecycle management of an innovative DeltaV integration and automation toolchain supporting a large-scale pharmaceutical manufacturing and automation program.
This role focuses on delivering an AI-enabled engineering workflow that transforms complex design deliverables-including P&IDs, Functional Specifications (FS), IO Lists, and other engineering documentation-into configured DeltaV control system assets and batch recipe content. Powered by modern LLM technologies, AI agents, and full-stack software applications, the platform is designed to accelerate automation delivery while maintaining compliance within a highly regulated GxP manufacturing environment.
Working at the intersection of industrial automation, pharmaceutical manufacturing, software product management, AI/LLM technologies, and compliance, you will define the product vision, own the roadmap, coordinate stakeholder requirements, and ensure delivery of scalable, validated digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap Ownership
- Define, maintain, and communicate the product roadmap for a multi-phase DeltaV automation toolchain.
- Align product priorities with project milestones, business objectives, software development capacity, and governance requirements.
- Balance technical, operational, quality, and end-user needs throughout the product lifecycle.
- Establish product vision and drive feature prioritization across multiple workflow streams.
Requirements Management
- Gather, document, and prioritize requirements from engineering, software, automation, validation, and business stakeholders.
- Translate complex process, automation, and regulatory requirements into detailed product specifications and user stories.
- Guide development activities across applications such as:
- P&ID data extraction tools
- Functional Specification processing utilities
- Engineering spreadsheet generation platforms
- Recipe generation and configuration applications
- Automated workflow and validation solutions
Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, software development teams, automation engineers, and governance groups.
- Facilitate recurring requirement reviews, roadmap discussions, feedback sessions, and product demonstrations.
- Communicate project progress, risks, priorities, and delivery status to both technical and executive audiences.
- Support sponsor and leadership meetings by providing product updates and strategic recommendations.
Validation & Compliance Leadership
- Own the validation strategy for AI-enabled solutions operating in regulated environments.
- Ensure products align with:
- GxP requirements
- 21 CFR Part 11 expectations
- ALCOA+ data integrity principles
- Computer System Validation (CSV) methodologies
- Electronic audit trail requirements
- Define success criteria and quality standards including:
- Precision and recall measurements
- Verification and validation approaches
- Traceability requirements
- Risk-based assessment methodologies
Tool Governance & Adoption
- Act as the business owner and custodian for deployed tools.
- Oversee ongoing maintenance, enhancement planning, release management, and user support.
- Coordinate training activities for engineering and project teams.
- Drive product adoption and continuous improvement initiatives.
Program Support
- Collaborate with project leadership to monitor delivery metrics, schedules, resource utilization, and scope management.
- Identify potential technical, commercial, or operational risks early and develop mitigation strategies.
- Support transparent reporting on progress and delivery performance.
