Project Civil Engineer
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Civil Engineer to join a collaborative and forward-thinking team. Reporting to a senior leader within the firm, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of projects-from residential and commercial developments to renewable energy installations and large-scale industrial facilities. Many assignments involve creative problem-solving in environmentally sensitive locations.
What You'll Do
This position offers exposure to a diverse project portfolio, with responsibilities that span planning, design, and implementation of infrastructure systems such as:
- Site development and layout
- Roadway and utility design
- Stormwater management systems
- Solar and renewable energy infrastructure
- Water and wastewater systems
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and supporting civil engineering design and project management
- Preparing construction documents and overseeing bidding processes
- Navigating permitting processes and presenting to regulatory bodies and stakeholders
- Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to deliver practical, cost-effective solutions
- Maintaining project schedules and ensuring high-quality deliverables
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (required); PE license preferred
- 5+ years of relevant experience in site/civil design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and civil design software (e.g., HydroCAD)
- Strong understanding of permitting processes at local, state, and federal levels
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and clients
