Senior Asset Manager (Wind/PV/BESS) (m/f/d)

Location: Munich (Hybrid)

Our client is a growing renewable energy investor and asset owner with a portfolio of utility-scale clean energy projects across multiple European markets. The business manages a diverse portfolio of operating assets and continues to expand through new investments, acquisitions, and strategic growth initiatives.

As part of an international team, you will play a key role in maximising asset performance, managing stakeholder relationships, and supporting long-term value creation across a portfolio of renewable energy projects.

About the Role

As Senior Asset / Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for the commercial and strategic management of a portfolio of renewable energy assets. Acting as the central coordinator across technical, financial, legal, and operational stakeholders, you will ensure assets operate efficiently while delivering strong long-term financial performance.

This role offers broad exposure to portfolio management, operational optimisation, financial oversight, contract management, and strategic initiatives within a dynamic and growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Management

  • Manage a portfolio of renewable energy assets across multiple markets.
  • Monitor asset performance and identify opportunities for optimisation and value creation.
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to achieve commercial and operational objectives.
  • Support governance and decision-making processes across the portfolio.

Operational & Commercial Oversight

  • Oversee service providers and key project counterparties.
  • Monitor operational performance and support performance improvement initiatives.
  • Review commercial arrangements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with technical, financial, and legal teams on portfolio-wide initiatives.

Financial Management

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, liquidity planning, and financial reporting activities.
  • Monitor business plan performance and analyse variances.
  • Assist with financing, refinancing, audit, and transaction-related processes.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.

Contract & Risk Management

  • Manage key commercial agreements and stakeholder relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations.
  • Identify and mitigate commercial, operational, and financial risks.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a key point of contact for investors, lenders, advisors, and external partners.
  • Deliver clear reporting and portfolio updates.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders when required.

Your Profile

  • Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in asset management, portfolio management, infrastructure investments, project finance, or renewable energy.
  • Solid understanding of renewable energy projects and commercial asset management.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders in a complex environment.
  • Strong financial and analytical capabilities.
  • Commercially minded with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Fluent English required; German is advantageous.
  • Based in Munich or open to relocating to the Munich area.
