Senior Bridge Engineer - Illinois Based Opportunity
A national consulting firm with a strong presence across the Midwest is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Bridge Engineer to lead and oversee complex bridge projects across Illinois and surrounding states. This full-time leadership role offers the opportunity to manage high-impact bridge initiatives that enhance community connectivity. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee structural design tasks across multiple concurrent projects
- Develop structural solutions using materials such as cast-in-place concrete, precast concrete, and steel
- Contribute to the design of infrastructure elements including culverts, bridges, and retaining walls
- Review technical submittals and implement necessary design changes
- Support efforts to maintain existing client relationships and assist in identifying new business opportunities
- Manage project scopes, timelines, and budgets, ensuring smooth execution and client satisfaction throughout the project life cycle
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) and/or Structural Engineer (SE) license in Illinois
- 10+ years of experience in structural engineering
- Design experience including load rating, substructure, foundation, superstructure, etc.
- Knowledge & understanding of MicroStation programs
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
- PE license in Illinois
- Project experience with IDOT or the Illinois Tollway
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
