Senior Bridge Engineer / Project Manager

We are partnered with a nationally recognized infrastructure and environmental consulting firm that is continuing to expand its transportation and bridge engineering practice. With a strong project backlog, established client relationships, and ongoing work throughout Georgia and the Southeast, our client is seeking an experienced Senior Bridge Engineer / Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex bridge design projects while mentoring the next generation of engineering talent. This is an excellent opportunity for a technical leader who enjoys managing high-profile transportation projects, influencing design standards, and contributing to a growing team.

The Senior Bridge Engineer / Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Leading the planning, design, and delivery of bridge, foundation, and ancillary transportation structures from concept through final construction documents.
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring schedules, budgets, contract requirements, and client expectations are met.
  • Reviewing project specifications and client requirements to ensure designs align with technical and regulatory standards.
  • Providing technical oversight, quality control, and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Serving as a key point of contact for clients, agencies, and internal project teams.
  • Mentoring and developing junior engineers and technical staff while fostering a collaborative project environment.
  • Supporting business growth initiatives through strong client relationships and successful project delivery.

The Senior Bridge Engineer / Project Manager should have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required.
  • 10+ years of progressive bridge design experience, with a diverse portfolio of transportation and bridge projects.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Georgia or ability to obtain Georgia licensure through reciprocity.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and delivering complex bridge engineering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of AASHTO LRFD bridge design standards and industry best practices.
  • Proven experience mentoring engineers and leading multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Licensed Structural Engineer (SE) with successful completion of the 16-hour structural examination.
  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience working on GDOT projects and familiarity with GDOT design standards and procedures.
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam, ProjectWise, Bentley engineering software, and GDOT design tools.
