Senior Manager- Business Valuation & Litigation
I am currently looking for a Senior Manager to join a highly respected professional services firm based in South Carolina, with a strong and growing presence in the areas of commercial litigation support and business valuation. This is a strategic leadership role for someone who brings deep technical expertise, strong client-facing skills, and a passion for solving complex financial challenges in legal and business contexts.
About the Role:
This position sits within a specialized advisory team that supports attorneys, corporate clients, and stakeholders in high-stakes litigation and valuation matters. The successful candidate will lead engagements involving economic damages, lost profits, forensic accounting, and valuations for shareholder disputes, mergers and acquisitions, estate and gift tax planning, and other strategic business needs.
You'll be responsible for managing multiple concurrent projects, overseeing the preparation of detailed reports and financial models, and providing expert witness testimony when required. The role also includes mentoring junior professionals, contributing to business development efforts, and helping shape the future direction of the practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage litigation support engagements, including damage quantification and forensic investigations.
- Conduct business valuations for a variety of purposes including transactional, tax, and litigation contexts.
- Prepare and review valuation reports, expert witness reports, and other deliverables.
- Testify as an expert witness in depositions and trials, presenting complex financial concepts clearly and confidently.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with attorneys, clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, fostering technical development and professional growth.
- Support practice development through thought leadership, networking, and client outreach.
What We're Looking For:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial litigation support and business valuation.
- Strong technical proficiency in valuation methodologies, financial modeling, and forensic accounting.
- Demonstrated experience in managing client relationships and leading complex engagements.
- CPA designation preferred; ASA, ABV, CFE, or similar credentials are also highly valued.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in presenting findings to legal and non-financial audiences.
- Experience providing expert witness testimony is a strong advantage.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
