The Opportunity
This is a senior leadership role overseeing the Geotechnical Engineering division.
Reporting directly to the company President, this individual will play a key role in shaping the future of the geotechnical group, with clear visibility into leadership and shareholder discussions and a genuine path to ownership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the Geotechnical Engineering division, including project delivery, quality, and team development
- Serve as the primary technical and client point of contact for geotechnical projects as leadership transitions responsibilities
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior and mid‑level engineers who have grown internally with the firm
- Oversee building‑focused geotechnical work, including public and private developments
- Collaborate closely with environmental teams and construction partners
- Maintain high standards of technical judgement, communication, and client service
Requirements & Qualifications
- 10 - 12+ Years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering
- Educational Background in relevant Engineering field (Civil, Geotechnical)
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Massachusetts (or ability to obtain)
- Strong background supporting building projects (commercial, residential, institutional preferred)
- Experience managing or mentoring technical teams
- Comfortable in a hands‑on role with both office and project‑level involvement
- Manage projects from end to end, budgeting, scheduling, proposal writing, reporting.
- Strong character, integrity, and interpersonal skills - Client Liaison experience.
- Interest in long‑term growth, leadership, and potential ownership.
- Business Development experience is preferred but not required.
