Stormwater/H&H Team Lead
A growing engineering consulting firm with a strong presence throughout the Southeast is seeking a Stormwater / Hydrology & Hydraulics (H&H) Team Lead to oversee and expand an established Water Resources team in Charleston, SC.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced stormwater professional to step into a highly visible leadership role within an organization that is actively investing in the growth of its Water Resources practice across the Carolinas. The successful candidate will inherit an established team, a strong project backlog, and the platform to drive future growth while influencing the long-term direction of the practice.
The role offers the ideal blend of technical leadership, team management, client engagement, and business development. You'll work closely with senior leadership to guide project delivery, mentor staff, support strategic hiring, and strengthen relationships with municipal and public-sector clients throughout the region.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage an established Stormwater and H&H team.
- Provide technical oversight and quality assurance across a diverse portfolio of stormwater and drainage projects.
- Manage project delivery, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and maintain strong relationships with municipalities and agencies.
- Mentor and develop engineers, project managers, and technical staff.
- Support strategic growth initiatives, including recruiting and team development.
- Identify and pursue new project opportunities through existing and developing client relationships.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across civil, environmental, transportation, and water infrastructure projects.
- Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
- Help shape the future direction and expansion of the Water Resources practice throughout the Carolinas.
