Role Overview
A well-established construction firm with deep experience in public infrastructure is seeking an experienced Water / Wastewater Treatment Superintendent to lead field operations on complex treatment plant, pump station, and utility-related projects.

This is a strong opportunity for a Superintendent who understands the demands of building and renovating critical water and wastewater facilities, including work within active operating environments. The right candidate will bring a strong field presence, practical construction knowledge, and the ability to lead crews, subcontractors, and day-to-day site execution with confidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day field operations on water and wastewater treatment plant, pump station, and related infrastructure projects
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, self-performed work, vendors, and field crews
  • Plan and schedule work activities to maintain project progress and hit key milestones
  • Lead daily huddles, toolbox talks, and safety coordination with crews and subcontractors
  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers on materials, manpower, subcontractor scheduling, and field issues
  • Review plans, specifications, shop drawings, and contract documents to ensure work is performed correctly
  • Maintain strong quality control and ensure work meets contract, scope, and project requirements
  • Track daily and weekly progress, productivity, manpower, and site conditions
  • Prepare accurate daily reports and communicate project updates clearly
  • Interface with owners, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, and local officials
  • Participate in preconstruction planning, project closeout, punch list, and turnover activities
  • Help mentor Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and emerging field leaders

What They're Looking For

  • Proven Superintendent experience in water/wastewater treatment plant construction, pump stations, utilities, or heavy civil infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of field operations, construction sequencing, site logistics, and subcontractor coordination
  • Experience working in active treatment facilities or technically complex infrastructure environments is highly valued
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical documents
  • Strong safety mindset with the ability to lead crews and enforce safe, productive work practices
  • Experience coordinating mechanical, electrical, concrete, utility, sitework, and process-related scopes
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with project teams, engineers, inspectors, and clients
  • OSHA certification preferred
