Survey CAD Tech
An established surveying and engineering environment is seeking a Senior Survey CAD Technician to take ownership of production work and support a consistent pipeline of projects. This role is ideal for someone who is confident in their technical abilities, enjoys working independently, and takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce survey deliverables including ALTA surveys, plats, easements, topographic surveys, and legal descriptions
- Process raw field data into clean, accurate Civil 3D drawings with minimal oversight
- Support point cloud registration and assist with LiDAR and drone data workflows
- Prepare clear, client-ready exhibits for engineering and development teams
- Coordinate with surveyors and project managers to maintain deadlines and project flow
- Perform QA/QC checks and proactively identify issues to ensure quality output
Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certification in CAD, Surveying, or a related field
- 2+ years of relevant experience (additional experience is highly valued)
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center
- Experience working with point clouds, LiDAR, and/or photogrammetry (Pix4D or similar)
- Solid understanding of survey workflows, boundary principles, and coordinate systems
- Ability to work independently, manage production efficiently, and deliver consistent, accurate results
