Senior Utility-Scale Project Manager (Remote)
Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Lead utility-scale solar, BESS, and hybrid energy projects through all phases of execution.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, forecasts, invoicing, and overall commercial performance.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and external project partners.
- Drive project planning, risk management, change management, and decision tracking.
- Maintain project controls, documentation, action item logs, and stakeholder communications.
- Support procurement, construction coordination, commissioning, and project closeout activities.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships while ensuring successful project delivery.
- Identify and mitigate schedule, cost, and execution risks.
Qualifications
Required
- 10+ years of project management experience within utility-scale power generation, renewable energy, or related infrastructure industries.
- Experience leading multiple utility-scale solar and/or battery storage projects exceeding 100 MW.
- Proven success managing projects through engineering, procurement, construction support, commissioning, and turnover.
- Strong contract, commercial, and change management experience.
- Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and resource planning.
- Knowledge of utility-scale PV systems, BESS, substations, high-voltage infrastructure, SCADA, and interconnection processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Experience managing geographically dispersed project teams.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office.
Preferred
- Experience with both utility-scale solar and battery storage projects.
- PMP, CCM, or equivalent project management certification.
- Experience working for an EPC contractor, developer, owner's engineer, or engineering consulting organization.
- Familiarity with ISO/RTO and utility interconnection processes.
- NABCEP, OSHA, or other industry certifications.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
- Equivalent experience may be considered.
Travel
- Regular domestic travel required.
- Occasional international travel may be necessary.
- Valid passport or ability to obtain one preferred.

- Base salary: $150,000-$190,000
