A growing heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced Vice President of Construction to lead overall operations, project execution, and field performance across the organization. This role is ideal for a proven leader with a strong background in site development, utilities, and infrastructure construction, as well as the ability to drive operational excellence and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive leadership over all construction operations, including project management and field teams
- Oversee multiple projects to ensure schedule, budget, safety, and quality targets are met
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and profitability
- Lead and mentor Superintendents, Project Managers, and field leadership
- Collaborate with executive team on planning, forecasting, and business growth initiatives
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, developers, and key stakeholders
- Drive company-wide safety culture and performance standards
Qualifications
- 7+ years of leadership experience in heavy civil, site development, or infrastructure construction
- Proven track record managing large teams and multiple projects
- Strong understanding of project execution, budgeting, and construction operations
- Experience with sitework, utilities, grading, or roadway projects
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to drive performance, accountability, and team development
