Location: Project-based assignment in a remote desert environment

Position Overview
A large federal infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Safety & Quality Control Manager to support a major water and wastewater rehabilitation project. This role combines responsibility for both project quality control and site safety programs, ensuring work is executed in compliance with contract requirements, federal standards, and established safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain project Quality Control and Site Safety programs.
- Lead preparatory meetings, initial inspections, follow-up inspections, and quality audits.
- Manage submittals, testing, inspections, and project documentation.
- Coordinate inspections and quality activities with client representatives and project stakeholders.
- Verify compliance of materials, equipment, and installed work with project requirements.
- Track and resolve quality issues to support schedule and project performance goals.
- Ensure subcontractor compliance with OSHA requirements and project safety standards.
- Develop and review Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs) and identify project risks.
- Support field leadership in planning safe and compliant execution of construction activities.
- Maintain inspection records, testing reports, and quality documentation.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of construction experience in project management, supervision, quality control, safety, or a related leadership role.
- Minimum 2 years of experience serving as a Quality Control Manager.
- Minimum 3 years of experience overseeing construction safety programs.
- Experience on projects valued at $25 million or greater.
- Experience working on federal construction projects.
- Current Construction Quality Management (CQM) certification.
- Knowledge of EM 385-1-1 safety requirements.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification.
- Minimum 24 hours of documented safety training completed within the past five years (excluding OSHA 30).
- Ability and willingness to temporarily relocate to the project area.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- PE or EIT credentials are a plus.

- Federal construction projects for agencies such as USACE, NAVFAC, National Park Service, Department of Defense, VA, or GSA.
- Water/wastewater treatment facilities.
- Underground utilities and pipeline installation.
- Heavy civil or infrastructure construction.
- Experience serving in a combined Quality Control Manager and Site Safety role.
