A well-established transportation engineering and infrastructure consulting firm is seeking a CEI Inspector to support TDOT construction projects throughout the Nashville area. Responsibilities
- Perform daily inspection of roadway, bridge, and transportation construction projects.
- Monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with TDOT specifications, plans, and standards.
- Document construction progress through daily reports and field records.
- Verify quantities, materials, and workmanship.
- Coordinate with contractors, project managers, and clients regarding construction activities.
- Assist with project documentation, testing coordination, and contract administration activities.
- Ensure project safety standards and quality requirements are maintained.
Qualifications
- Experience in CEI, transportation construction inspection, or roadway inspection.
- TDOT certifications strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents.
- Experience on roadway, bridge, highway, or transportation infrastructure projects.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to work in the field.
