About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Civil Project Engineer with 4-8 years of experience to join our growing Phoenix office. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of land development, municipal infrastructure, transportation, water resources, and utility projects throughout the Valley. The ideal candidate will be a technically strong engineer who enjoys collaborating with clients, supporting project delivery, and taking increasing responsibility in project management and client-facing activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare engineering plans, calculations, specifications, reports, and cost estimates for civil infrastructure projects.
- Support the design and delivery of site development, grading, drainage, utility, roadway, and municipal infrastructure improvements.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, planners, contractors, utility providers, and regulatory agencies.
- Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
- Perform engineering analyses and technical reviews to ensure quality and compliance with applicable standards.
- Support permitting and entitlement processes with various municipalities and agencies.
- Participate in construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittal reviews, change orders, and site observations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
- Mentor entry-level engineers and engineering designers.
- Contribute to proposal preparation, business development efforts, and client relationship management.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 4-8 years of civil engineering consulting experience.
- EIT certification required.
- Experience with civil design software, including AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering design principles and construction practices.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
- Experience with municipal, land development, transportation, water resources, or utility infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with Maricopa County and local Arizona agency standards.
- Experience coordinating directly with clients and public agencies.
- Project management experience, including scopes, budgets, and schedules.

Target Compensation: $95,000-$135,000+ depending on experience, PE status, and project responsibilities.
