Civil Professional Engineer (PE)

A dynamic, multi-disciplinary engineering firm is seeking a Civil Engineer (P.E.) with 0-5 years of experience post-licensure. This role offers a collaborative work environment with opportunities for professional growth and exposure to a wide variety of projects-combining the diversity of a large firm with the personalized feel of a smaller team.


Minimum Experience Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of experience in project coordination or management
  • 5 years of relevant experience following PE licensure
  • Strong foundation in civil engineering design principles
  • Proficiency in preparing construction documents for competitive bidding
  • Hands-on experience in:
    • Land development
    • Site layout and grading
    • Utility and storm drainage design
    • Stormwater management and pollution prevention
    • Local code analysis and implementation
  • Experience in preparing technical reports and documentation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, GEOPAK, and/or OpenRoads
  • Experience with ICPR, WaterCAD, and AutoTurn is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support civil site design as a Project Engineer or Engineer of Record
  • Develop conceptual and final designs, construction plans, and specifications
  • Perform detailed engineering calculations
  • Prepare and assemble permit and construction documentation
  • Coordinate and submit permit applications
  • Maintain accurate engineering records and reports
  • Conduct field and office work related to civil and construction projects
  • Review and verify work for quality and accuracy
  • Mentor junior staff and interns
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Assist in developing project scopes, budgets, and schedules
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of all project deliverables
  • Perform other related engineering duties as assigned
