Electrical Engineer
Take the lead on multidisciplinary building systems projects from early concept through construction. You'll drive schedules, collaborate with a wide network of professionals, and develop intelligent electrical design solutions.
Core responsibilities include:
- Managing multiple electrical design projects with ownership and accountability
- Participating in weekly planning sessions and resource coordination
- Preparing assessment reports and early-phase project narratives
- Collaborating with clients, architects, and cross‑functional engineering teams
- Developing design strategies for power distribution, lighting, and integrated systems
- Conducting site visits, data collection, and field verification
- Selecting equipment and materials aligned with design goals
- Writing clear, technically accurate project specifications
- Producing detailed drawings and technical documentation
- Ensuring all design outputs meet quality standards and project objectives
- Performing electrical studies, including protection coordination and short circuit analysis
- Reviewing submittals, shop drawings, and manufacturer data
- Attending project meetings throughout design and construction
- Observing installations during construction to verify design intent
- Coordinating with contractors, vendors, and installation teams
- Completing punch‑list assessments and final documentation
- Participating in ongoing technical training and sharing knowledge with the team
Ideal qualifications include:
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the U.S, or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months
- Strong understanding of applied engineering principles
- Familiarity with applicable NEC codes and design standards
- 5+ years of experience in electrical building systems design
- Ability to work independently and guide engineering tasks with minimal oversight
- A positive, team‑oriented mindset with strong communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Proven ability to manage multiple parallel projects
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and BIM software such as Revit
