A leading environmental consulting firm is seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to support complex remediation projects, primarily serving oil & gas and industrial clients in Michigan and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage environmental projects from site characterization through regulatory closure.
- Lead investigations, risk assessments, and remediation of soil, groundwater, soil gas, and sediment.
- Support Michigan EGLE Part 201 and Part 213 programs, including pathway evaluations and CSM development.
- Evaluate remedial alternatives and support cost‑effective closure strategies with regulators.
- Prepare and/or review work plans, technical reports, scopes, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate subcontractors, oversee field activities, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Build strong relationships with clients, regulators, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Mentor junior staff and support team development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
- 5-10 years of environmental consulting or Michigan remediation experience
- Strong project management experience in environmental remediation.
- Experience with petroleum, refinery, terminal, pipeline, and/or UST projects strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of RCRA, CERCLA, and state regulatory programs a plus.
- Professional certification (PE, PG, CPG) preferred.
- 40‑Hour HAZWOPER (current or able to refresh).

Compensation
- $85,000 - $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications.
