About the Opportunity

A leading geotechnical engineering consulting firm is seeking a Geotechnical Project Manager to support continued growth across its Northern California operations. With opportunities available in Sacramento, San Francisco, San Jose, and Monterey Bay, this position offers the chance to lead technically challenging projects while helping shape the future of a growing practice.

The firm maintains a strong backlog of work spanning transportation infrastructure, tunnels, transit systems, dams, water resources, energy, land development, and other critical infrastructure projects throughout California and the Western United States.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage geotechnical projects from proposal through delivery
  • Lead investigations, analyses, and engineering design efforts
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, and resource planning
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Mentor and support junior engineering staff
  • Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and project deliverables
  • Support business development initiatives and practice growth efforts

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a related field
  • Active California PE license required
  • 5+ years of geotechnical consulting experience
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Strong client-facing and business development skills
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
