Wastewater Project Engineer
Location: Denver, CO (Hybrid/Flexible Schedule Available)
Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000 annually + bonus potential, comprehensive benefits, and retirement package
Position Overview
We are seeking a Wastewater Project Engineer to support the planning, design, and delivery of municipal wastewater infrastructure projects throughout the Denver metropolitan area. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of wastewater treatment, collection system, pump station, and conveyance projects while collaborating with experienced project managers and technical leaders.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a desire to take ownership of project tasks, and an interest in growing into a future project management or technical leadership role.
Responsibilities
- Support the planning and design of wastewater infrastructure projects for municipal clients.
- Prepare engineering calculations, reports, technical memoranda, plans, and specifications.
- Assist with the design of wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, force mains, gravity sewers, and related infrastructure.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams, including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and process engineers.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations.
- Support project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
- Conduct site visits, field investigations, and condition assessments.
- Assist with permitting, regulatory compliance, and agency coordination.
- Provide support during construction, including submittal reviews, RFIs, and site observations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- PE license preferred or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe.
- 4+ years of wastewater engineering experience.
- Experience with municipal wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills.
- Familiarity with project delivery and engineering design processes.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
- Experience working directly with municipal clients is a plus.
