K-12 Senior Project Manager
A nationally recognized architecture firm with decades of experience in educational facility design is expanding its K-12 portfolio and is hiring a Senior Project Manager to join its teams in San Francisco and Sacramento.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage project teams to deliver complete, high-quality document sets across all phases of design and construction.
- Serve as the primary leader for project execution, ensuring alignment with client expectations, contractual obligations, and company standards.
- Support Client Executive and Principal Architect in high-level decision-making and delegation.
- Oversee all phases of development: Pre-Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration.
- Establish and maintain project budgets, schedules, and work plans; proactively resolve issues to keep projects on track.
- Organize and direct architectural and engineering teams for efficient, coordinated delivery.
- Maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and strategic guidance; lead presentations and progress meetings.
- Provide leadership and technical expertise for detailing, specifications, and design intent throughout documentation.
- Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering growth and accountability within the team.
- Perform construction administration duties, occasional travel required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field required; CA licensure preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in architectural project management, with demonstrated leadership on complex projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; familiarity with SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
- Strong understanding of building codes and permitting processes
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to make sound decisions and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Benefits
- Competitive salary range: $110,900 - $166,395 annually, commensurate with experience.
