The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing Land Development team in Atlanta. This individual will be responsible for leading complex site development projects, managing multidisciplinary teams, and serving as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle. The position offers the opportunity to oversee project delivery from entitlement and design through construction, while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the continued growth of the business.
Responsibilities
- Lead land development projects from initial planning through construction completion.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables.
- Coordinate engineering design efforts and construction documentation.
- Serve as the primary client contact and maintain strong client relationships.
- Manage communication between internal teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Conduct project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Review and coordinate civil engineering plans and technical documentation.
- Oversee permitting and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Participate in construction administration activities, including site visits and drawing reviews.
- Support and mentor junior engineering staff.
- Maintain project profitability and financial performance.
- Assist with business development efforts and client engagement activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of experience within Land Development Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Strong proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Experience managing commercial and residential land development projects.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong understanding of site development design, permitting, and construction processes.
- Experience managing budgets, schedules, and project financials.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong client-facing and relationship-building abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience.
